Περιγραφή Σχεδίου:
Τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες παρατηρείται έλλειψη ουσιαστικής επικοινωνίας μεταξύ των ανθρώπων οι οποίοι έχουν στραφεί μαζικά στην χρήση των ηλεκτρονικών μέσων επικοινωνίας.
Σε μια κοινωνία που εξελίσσεται ταχύτατα, η επαφή με τις τέχνες μπορεί να αποτελέσει ένα ουσιαστικό και εποικοδομητικό μέσο προσωπικής ανάπτυξης και κοινωνικής συνοχής.
Τα ηνία ανάμεσα στις διάφορες τέχνες κατέχει η Τέχνη του Λόγου, που αποτελεί την Τέχνη των Τεχνών, καθώς βασίζεται στη γλώσσα, το απόλυτο εκφραστικό μέσο του ανθρώπου. Πιο παλιά μορφή της είναι η Ποίηση που είναι και η πλέον συναισθηματική, μουσική, συνεπώς και ψυχική Τέχνη. Με άλλα λόγια, η ποίηση είναι ένα “φάρμακο” για την ψυχή!
Επιδίωξη του σχεδίου είναι να ενημερωθούν οι συμμετέχοντες και η ευρύτερη κοινωνία για το μεγαλείο της ποίησης εμπνέοντας περισσότερους νέους να μελετήσουν ποιητές και ποιήματα, και να αναζητήσουν βαθύτερα νοήματα σε αυτά. Πρόκειται να αναδειχθούν τεχνικές συγγραφής και τρόποι προώθησης των έργων των νέων ποιητών, ενώ επίσης στόχος είναι μέσω της ποίησης να υπογραμμίσουμε την αξία της συμπόρευσης της πολυγλωσσίας με τη μητρική γλώσσα, καθώς η κάθε εθνική γλώσσα και τοπική διάλεκτος αποτελεί σημαντικό πολιτισμικό στοιχείο της κάθε χώρας που οφείλουμε να διαφυλάξουμε.
Επιπλέον, μετά την πρόσφατη προσφυγική κρίση η κοινωνική ένταξη των προσφύγων μπορεί να επιτευχθεί ομαλότερα μέσω ανταλλαγής πολιτισμικών στοιχείων με την τοπική και ευρύτερη κοινωνία και η ποίηση είναι ένα εργαλείο που μπορούμε να χρησιμοποιήσουμε σε αυτό το σκοπό.
Στο διεθνές πρόγραμμα ανταλλαγής νέων “P.O.E.T.R.Y. – Power Of European Talented Romantic Youth” συμμετείχαν 34 άτομα από την Ισπανία, την Ιταλία, τη Σουηδία, την Τουρκία και την Ελλάδα.
Το σχέδιο περιέλαβε μια Ανταλλαγή νέων στην τοποθεσία “Νέοι Πόροι” της Πιερίας (Ελλάδα) στις 21-28/08/2021, όπου υλοποιήθηκαν δράσεις σε εσωτερικό και εξωτερικό χώρο, καθώς επίσης και μια τελική εκδήλωση παρουσίασης των δραστηριοτήτων και των αποτελεσμάτων του σχεδίου στο κοινό.
Η μεθοδολογία του σχεδίου ήταν βασισμένη στις αρχές της μη τυπικής εκπαίδευσης όπως: παιχνίδια ενδυνάμωσης ομαδικού πνεύματος, παρακίνησης και τόνωσης, εργασία σε μικρές ομάδες, παιχνίδια ρόλων, συζήτηση και διάλογο, δράσεις εστιασμένες στην ποίηση, δράσεις δρόμου, παρουσιάσεις σε κοινό και δημιουργία βίντεο.
Τέλος, κομβικής σημασίας είναι η δημιουργία ενός ψηφιακού Ανθολογίου σε μορφή web blog, που περιλαμβάνει όλα τα ποιήματα που θα έχουν συγγράψει κατά τη διάρκεια της Ανταλλαγής, όπως επίσης και όποια άλλα
αποτελέσματα έχουμε παράξει, για την καλύτερη διάδοση τους.
Project Description:
During the last decades there has been a lack of effective communication among people who have turned to the use of electronic social networks. In a rapidly evolving society, meeting with art can be an essential and constructive means of personal development and social cohesion.
Among other arts and in the saddle is The Art of Logos, the mother of Arts, as it is based on the language, the ultimate expressive medium of man. A more ancient form of Art of Logos is Poetry, which is also the most emotional, musical, and therefore mental art. In other words, poetry is a “medicine” for the soul!
Pursuit of the project was to inform the participants and the wider society about the greatness and importance of poetry inspiring young people to study more poets and poems and to seek deeper meanings. Prominence was given to techniques of writing and ways in which new poets can promote their work while our objective is to emphasize, through poetry, the value of having both multilingualism and national languages going hand by hand to the future, as mother tongues and local dialects are important cultural elements that needs to be preserved.
In addition, after the recent refugee crisis the social inclusion of the refugees can be easier achieved through exchange of cultural elements with local and wider society, and poetry is a tool to use for that purpose.
In the international youth exchange “P.O.E.T.R.Y. – Power Of European Talented Romantic Youth” participate 34 people from Spain, Italy, Sweden, Turkey and Greece.
The project included a youth exchange that was held in the village of Neoi Poroi, Pieria (Greece) between 21-28/08/2021, where indoor and outdoor activities were carried out, as well as a final event in order to present the activities and results of the project to the public.
The methodology of the project was based on the principles of non-formal education such as: team building activities, motivating and stimulating games (energizers), group work, role play, discussion and dialogue, street actions, presentations and video creation.
Finally, of high importance is the creation of a digital Anthology in a web blog form, which includes all the poems that will have been written during the exchange, as well as any other outputs that will have been created, in order to achieve a greater dissemination of them.

Our journey – Memoirs of P.O.E.T.R.Y
From sunny Greece 🇬🇷 , passionate Spain 🇪🇸 , elegant Italy 🇮🇹 , friendly Turkey 🇹🇷 and enjoyable Sweden 🇸🇪 , 34 young adults entered a european program about P.O.E.T.R.Y. In the shade of Mount Olympus and in a semi-formal setting in Neoi Poroi, we learnt and became informed about a lot of things concerning poetry, arts and empowerment. We invite you to join us reminiscing on this journey of a Youth Exchange funded by Erasmus+!
1️⃣ Friendship vs. Loneliness day – 21 August 2021
The first day of our project, name games and other activities established an original sense of group in us. Each one of us got a secret friend who gave us many experiences and messages throughout the lifecycle of the project. We were educated about Youthpass and its usefulness. The main event for the day was certainly the Olympic inspiration. In this event, randomly assigned teams were given the task to walk around and experience the variety this village offers. In this context, our first real team building activity was realised and we learned how to work in teams, while also interacting directly with the village we were staying in. After this and taking inspiration from our walk, we worked in teams in order to create a poem which we then would present. The poem was based on the attractions of the village itself making the whole experience really nice.
The day concluded with Greek International Night, where we learned a lot of words whose roots came from Greece. We got an initial culture meeting with the history of Greece and even Greek gods! The night ended with a traditional Greek dance.
2️⃣ Happiness vs. Sadness day – 22 August 2021
🎼 We started the second day by listening to some inspiring and relaxing music, performing meditation activities. More specifically we listened to powerful instrumental music, provided by the Turkish team. Following this activity we wrote our thoughts on a post it note and later still, we again split in teams which then combined our post it thoughts into a poem. A quick lunch break later, our group found itself learning about poetry and the structure and rules that define it. This was especially helpful for the newer people who were joining us and really helped them quickly develop skills and a way of thinking.
Finally, this day ended with the Turks hosting their intercultural night which included presentations about Turkey, especially Istanbul. Local delicacies from Turkey were served, there was a lot of dancing both in a traditional way but also in a modern one, leading quite a bit of fun!
3️⃣ Life vs. Death day – 23 August 2021
This day began at the sandy beaches of Neoi Poroi. A communication exercise helped us to interact with our group members even if we had some limitations which showed how even if some people don’t speak the same language they are still able to communicate and be a group. This activity was followed by a roleplay where nine teams were each assigned a muse and then performed an act based on that muse’s characteristics. Quite a refreshing start to a new day! After this, we were presented with a half written poem from the Spanish team, with the unique challenge of finishing it while still retaining the original meaning and soul of the poem! After that the national teams each presented a great poet that had died yet their work endured the test of time, in an activity led by the italian team!
The Italian team was up for this day, and with the help of our amazing host, miss Mary, were able to provide us with lovely pasta as well as other things around it! Dancing, festivities, and information was also shared, making it a real highlight of the program!
4️⃣ Nature vs. Artificial day – 24 August 2021
🏖 This day started out quite well considering our morning was free!! During this, the group performed many activities including but not limited to: beach volley, meditation, swimming and many others! Coming back in the afternoon we had what I’d consider to be the highlight of the program with the Euro-Vision poem contest. Once again the group was split into teams representing imaginary countries and a contest much like the actual Euro-Vision took place. Many teams had a bit of acting in their numbers as well and overall it was quite a lot of fanfare and fun. The poems were also rated by us, on a basis of 11 distinct criteria, which really helped separate and organize our thoughts.
The love of our Spanish people touched us next with their fantastic intercultural night. Information about quite a few cities in Spain as well as bull running, a long time tradition in Spain. Spanish delicacies and treats like Spanish tortilla were quickly enjoyed by the participants who also paid special attention to sangria. Following that, the menu had bachata dancing and other dancing games which provided us with a real feek of Spain even for a moment!
5️⃣ Inclusion vs. Racism day – 25 August 2021
A somber tone followed us on the beginning of this day. We were presented with news stories about quite a few world events that sparked public outcry, including the Afghanistan conflict and the abortion ban in Poland. This activity was followed by debate and writing poems about these issues! National teams again took the stage after this activity and presented us with famous poems in our native tongues. This activity was about trying to convey the feeling of a poem with us roleplaying and creating an emotion in the crowd in order to allow them to guess the contents of a poem, the concept, the theme.
From the cold north, our Swedish family had their take on the final intercultural night, giving us a show of the attractions of Sweden. The northern lights, their society and IKEA were all things that inspired us! As always, Swedish food was served and we did a traditional frog dance which was quite unique.
6️⃣ Hope and initiative vs. Fear day – 26 August 2021
⛈ A busy day which was spent doing quite a bit of preparation for the main event. Teams were formed and given tasks on what the grand day would be. We each worked on our tasks with fervor and the results were ready to be presented! However our red hot spirits were quickly dampened when Zeus overlooking us atop mount Olympus intervened and brought with him his mighty rain and thunder. Not to lose hope and ever adaptable, our plans quickly changed and we were able to still be extremely prepared however the event would take place in the next day.
Not all is lost however as the night had a different plan. With the clouds clearing up we were able to do an excursion to Platamon which involved us getting mixed with the locals and making sure we were on top form for the next day!
7️⃣ Future versus Past day – 27 August 2021
The past would not hold us back and with renewed vigor and a big breakfast we marched on towards the beach. In the pinnacle action of this project, we gathered a local population and performed quite a few acts in front of them. These acts were the culmination of all our past activities and the gems that we as youth produced! Poems, Roleplays, Information all parts of this project which gave the locals something to remember us by! Everyday played a role in this as we gathered the information and performed the necessary acts! Overall we did quite well and it was a magnificent experience!
This was followed by a free evening as the majority of us were quite exhausted from a couple of days earlier.
8️⃣ Love versus Hate – 28 August 2021
The day of writing this. A day of remembrance and nostalgia about the experiences we had. A day of reflection. A day none of us wishes it ends.
👫Today we are all kinder to each other, we are all part of a group, a family. Today our project wraps up and we create content like this that we are hopeful will inspire you as you see it!
🎉 But today is also a day of celebration. Celebrating our success as a project, as a group and as individuals.
We hope this inspires you to join us in the future. For there is a poet in every youth. A poet that we seek to empower!
