🎨 Workshops at K Youth Fest 2025

🧭 The workshops at K Youth Fest 2025 were at the heart of the experience. Designed by and for young people, they offered hands-on, collaborative, and joyful ways to explore topics such as art, culture, sports, music, and identity.

Over the course of the festival, participants had the opportunity to discover new skills, step out of their comfort zones, and build friendships across borders. Each workshop was run by motivated facilitators, many of them young volunteers who brought their own energy, creativity, and personal touch to the experience.

Whether it was dancing, cooking, playing music, or creating with words and images, each session celebrated diversity, inclusion, and youth empowerment.

🟣 Digital Privacy & Security

Duration: 25 minutes
Target group: Digital users of all ages

In a world where digital threats are increasingly sophisticated, this workshop provided a practical and engaging introduction to online safety. Led by Marek and Aymeric, the session aimed to raise awareness about password protection, data privacy, and how to spot phishing attempts. Participants, divided into small teams, first engaged in a short energizer focusing on trust and attention. They then worked collaboratively to create strong, memorable passwords, which were evaluated using real-time tools. This was followed by a group challenge to identify scam emails, encouraging critical thinking and peer learning.

🟣 Boogie Without Borders

"Boogie Without Borders" was a joyful celebration of dance as a universal language. Led by Ana and Kerttu, this lively workshop invited participants to explore traditional Portuguese and Finnish dances, while also opening up to a variety of global styles. The session kicked off with a high-energy warm-up featuring music and movement, followed by step-by-step guidance through simple choreographies. The highlight? Participants were encouraged to share their own cultures, teaching a traditional Greek dance or freestyling to their favorite tracks. Beyond dancing, the workshop aimed to strengthen group cohesion, boost self-expression, and foster intercultural exchange in a fun and inclusive atmosphere.

"Language Blind Test" was a dynamic and interactive workshop that took participants on a journey around the world through sound. Designed for all ages and backgrounds, the session challenged participants to recognize languages through songs, movie clips, and speeches—no previous language knowledge needed! Led by Ani and Anis, the workshop opened with a fun musical chairs energizer to break the ice and get the group moving. Then came the main event: a three-round blind test where participants listened, guessed, discussed, and learned about different languages and cultures. The goal was not only to have fun, but also to promote language awareness, communication skills, and intercultural curiosity in a relaxed and playful environment.

The Geography Game workshop offered a fun, fast-paced way to test and expand participants' knowledge of European geography. Designed for curious minds aged 12 to 30, this session blended competition and learning in a relaxed, outdoor setting. Led by Michele and Brisa, the session started with a quick icebreaker, where participants shared which countries they had visited, marking them on a large map. This was not only a conversation starter, but also a way to visually spark geographic curiosity. After forming small groups, teams received flags, lists of countries and capitals, symbols, and pens, and dived into the game. The challenge: match countries to capitals and symbols as quickly and accurately as possible!

In a world full of words, what if we told stories without any? This creative workshop invites participants of all ages to explore the art of visual storytelling through photography. With a camera or smartphone as their tool, participants will dive into concepts like framing, light, emotion, and composition, working in teams to visually express ideas such as “Friendship,” “Joy,” or “Motion.” The aim is to spark creativity, observation, and collaboration through a hands-on challenge that requires no verbal explanation, just the power of images.

This inclusive jam session invites participants of all ages and backgrounds to create spontaneous music together, using nothing but their voices, bodies, and imaginations. Through rhythm, repetition, and play, this activity breaks down barriers and brings people into harmony — literally! By exploring body percussion, vocal improvisation, and group collaboration, participants tap into their innate musicality and experience the joy of co-creation. No instruments, no pressure — just rhythm, vibes, and fun.

This workshop uses football as a universal language to promote inclusion, collaboration, and creative expression. By focusing on symbolic gestures, teamwork, and collective celebration rather than competition, it creates a safe and fun space where everyone can participate—regardless of age, background, or skill level. Participants are encouraged to communicate non-verbally, co-create team actions, and reflect on group dynamics. The activity helps build trust, break social barriers, and reinforce values like respect, support, and unity through movement and shared experiences.

This workshop offers a playful and tactile introduction to the magic of homemade cooking. Participants explore the foundational skill of making dough—a base used in countless recipes across cultures. From flour and water, they will shape gnocchi and spaghetti, learning how tradition meets creativity in the kitchen. The goal is not only to develop basic culinary skills but to foster a sense of independence, patience, and joy in the cooking process. By physically engaging with each step, participants strengthen fine motor skills, teamwork, and their appreciation for handmade food.

🟣 Feel to Heal – A Journey Through Senses, Emotions & Stillness

In a world where stress, overstimulation, and emotional pressure are often daily realities—especially for young people—this session offers a calm space to reconnect with the body, senses, and inner emotions. Through movement, play, and quiet reflection, participants explore what it means to feel fully and heal gently. The workshop is structured to build trust, emotional expression, and self-regulation in a soft, engaging way. Participants are invited to listen more deeply—to themselves and to others—without pressure, competition, or judgment.

In this playful and engaging session, children will strengthen their memory, concentration, and collaborative skills through a dynamic card-based game. By encouraging group interaction and strategic thinking, the activity also reinforces vocabulary and cognitive associations in a fun and low-pressure setting. The workshop is designed to stimulate mental agility while fostering cooperation and communication among participants.

In an increasingly globalized world, travelers seek not just to visit places, but to live and experience destinations like locals. This interactive workshop empowers tourism and travel management students to design meaningful travel experiences by integrating practical planning skills, cultural insights, and digital tools. Participants will gain hands-on experience in preparing realistic, budget-conscious, and culturally sensitive travel itineraries.
