Erasmus for Young Entepreneurs

Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is a cross-border exchange programme that offers young or aspiring entrepreneurs the opportunity to gain knowledge from experienced entrepreneurs who run small businesses in one of the participating countries.

The programme provides a cost-effective, well-structured opportunity to gain international business experience with minimal risk. Whether you’re exploring how to promote a product in foreign markets or guiding an ambitious newcomer, the programme fosters mutual learning and builds lasting partnerships.Since its launch in 2009, EYE has supported thousands of entrepreneurs in building their networks, developing their skills, and growing their businesses across Europe and beyond.

General Overview

For now, the EYE operates in over 40 countries in the EU and its partners like USA,Canada,Singapore and Israel. The exchange lasts from 1 to 6 months with flexible start dates.

Who is it for?

Entrepreneurs with no age limit who are planning to start their own business or have already started it within the last three years. Experienced entrepreneurs who are owners or managers of a small or medium-sized enterprise in one of the countries participating in the program.

What is Funding Support?

While host entrepreneurs do not receive financial assistance, new entrepreneurs receive a monthly financial contribution from the programme to help cover living and travel expenses during their stay. Funding for new entrepreneurs ranges from €530 to €1,100 per month, depending on the host country’s cost of living.

Who can participate?

To participate as a new entrepreneur:

- You must be a permanent resident in one of the participating countries.

- You must have a concrete business idea or have started your own business in the last 3 years.

To participate as a host entrepreneur:

- You must be a permanent resident in a participating country.

- You must own or manage an SME for more than 3 years.

What is the Application Process?

1) Create an online profile and business plan through the EYE portal.

2) Find a host or new entrepreneur whose profile fits your goals.

3) Define the work plan, objectives, and tasks for the exchange.

4) Begin the collaboration and track progress.
