CIVIKO Kick-off Meeting Aftermovie
🌍 Beyond Borders 🇮🇹 in collaboration with Shokking group, KOM 018, Teatro Metaphora, and CODEC together with GO Alive launching a bold and playful mission: CIVIKO — a European project that transforms democratic participation into a game-changing experience for young people! 🎉
🧩 What’s it all about?
The project aims to boost youth democratic participation through innovative educational tools — most notably a brand-new board game that makes learning about democracy exciting, interactive, and fun!
🔑 What will we do?
✔️ Create tools that make democratic education more inclusive and accessible
✔️ Train youth workers across Europe in using games for civic learning
✔️ Raise awareness about youth participation through playful, creative campaigns
✔️ Promote active citizenship in local communities
📆 CIVICO project will be implemented from 01.11.2025 to 31.10.2027 in Italy, Estonia, Greece, Serbia, Portugal and Belgium. It is co-financed by the EU.

The kick-off meeting of the CIVIKO project took place in Tallinn, Estonia, on 9–11 December 2025, bringing together partners to officially launch the collaboration and align on the project’s vision, objectives, and next steps.
GO Alive’s co-founders and project managers, Markos Chionos and Maria Stefanidou, travelled from Greece to Tallinn to represent the organisation and actively contribute to the discussions. Together with the partnership, they planned the project activities and meetings for the next two years, setting a solid roadmap for successful implementation.
Some of the highlights of the meeting were visiting the amazing office of Shokkin group, strolling through the beautifully Christmas-decorated Tallinn market, and strengthening team bonds in a festive and inspiring atmosphere!
