Active Youth – GO Alive

Active YOUTH - Create YOUR own Local Youth Council | Eani, Greece (07-16/10/2024)

The project brought together young people from different backgrounds with a shared goal: to explore how they can become more active citizens by creating and participating in local youth councils. Throughout the program, participants engaged in a series of dynamic activities designed to promote team-building, self-awareness, and empowerment. From ice-breaking games on Day 1 to in-depth workshops on entrepreneurship, civic engagement, and the role of youth councils, each day offered new opportunities for learning and growth. We also introduced participants to the missions of “GO Alive” and “IASIS NGO” two organizations dedicated to youth empowerment and social solidarity. A key highlight of the program was our trip to Althea Lakeview Farm, where participants had the chance to connect with nature through hands-on activities. We took part in soil mulching and labeling plants, which deepened our understanding of sustainable practices and brought us closer to the environment. This experience was not only educational but also inspiring, as it highlighted the importance of environmental stewardship in our local communities. By the end of the program, participants had developed their own youth council models, tailored to their local community’s needs, with a focus on promoting active participation and influencing decision-making processes. It was an inspiring journey filled with teamwork, creativity, and the power of youth voices! We are excited to see what the future holds for these emerging leaders as they continue their work with local youth councils.✨

On the second day of our Erasmus+ project “Active YOUTH – Create YOUR own local Youth council”, participants engaged in team-building games, which helped them get to know each other better. They also received information about the organizations “Go Alive” and “Iasis,” gaining insight into their missions and activities. It was a productive day that strengthened connections and deepened participants’ understanding of the project ✨
