Conegliano, Italy | 22.09 – 05.10.2024
In late September 2024, GO Alive took part in the dynamic Erasmus+ youth exchange “YOURS – Youth Participation for Urban Regeneration Strategies”, hosted in the charming town of Conegliano, Italy. The program gathered young participants from across Europe to reflect, reimagine, and reshape urban spaces while fostering civic engagement and creative collaboration.
The aim was to empower youth to actively participate in the improvement of their local environments, equipping them with tools in sustainable development, public space redesign, and inclusive planning strategies.
Throughout the two-week exchange, participants explored:
– The role of youth in sustainable urban regeneration
– Collaboration with local architects and artists
– Creative methods of public space transformation
– Inclusion, diversity, and community engagement
Workshops, field visits, and team-based regeneration projects transformed Conegliano into a living classroom, sparking ideas that extended far beyond the town’s historic streets.

It has made me more creative, open-minded, and social. I had the opportunity to explore a different culture through the lens of creative individuals, which made the experience both meaningful and fascinating. Additionally, the cultural exchange within the team has sparked even more curiosity in me to continue exploring new things. Overall, it was a truly enjoyable and enriching experience.”
Anna:
“During my Erasmus Plus project called “Yours”, focused on urban regeneration in Italy, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team of artists and architects who inspired us with their innovative ideas. Working with my team, we chose a specific location to regenerate, diving deep into its history and community needs. This experience not only enhanced my understanding of sustainable urban development but also strengthened my teamwork and problem-solving skills. I gained valuable insights into the creative process and the importance of community involvement in regeneration projects, making it a truly enriching experience.”
Spiros:
“We had an amazing time where we got to learn a lot about urban regeneration and experience it first-hand through visits, example cases and interesting speeches from people doing it. The host organization was very organized and well-prepared – contributing to an exciting experience.”
Nefeli:
“I’m feeling very lucky that I was one of the members on the Greek Team that participated in this Erasmus+ program (“Urban Regeneration”), because I learned many new things such as the importance of reviving the abandoned buildings and how they can be useful again in the community and last but not least, I met 22 people from other countries that I can call them from now on, my friends.”
Kleopatra:
“I’m very happy for the opportunity to participate in an Erasmus+ programme regarding the Urban Regeneration because not only had I the chance to meet amazing people and share with them 12 days full of fun, cooperation and creation, but also I learned so many useful things as the importance of reviving old buildings and creating something new for our city.”
This project in Conegliano was more than a learning experience it was a spark for civic involvement and creative leadership. The stories, skills, and bonds built will inspire participants to carry urban regeneration efforts forward in their own cities.
