From 5th to 12th May 2024, the peaceful and scenic village of Peñalba de Santiago, in the heart of El Bierzo, Spain, hosted the Erasmus+ training course “Terra Viva”. Co-funded by the European Union, this project brought together young minds from across Europe to delve into themes of rural entrepreneurship, sustainability, and innovation. The setting surrounded by nature and cultural heritage was the perfect backdrop for reflection, exchange, and inspiration.
– To promote youth entrepreneurship in rural areas
– To create innovative tools and share best practices for youth employment in the agricultural and rural sectors
– To engage young people in building a more sustainable way of life

“During our stay in Peñalba de Santiago we were given the opportunity to penetrate the different methodologies and tools of entrepreneurship and learn how to implement them on our future careers. But, most importantly we felt part united and part of the international community.”

The “Terra Viva” training course was more than just a project it was a chance to build a more sustainable and inclusive future through collaboration and creativity.
