Stronger Together – Youth Exchange in Isparta, Türkiye
From May 7th to 15th, 2025, young participants from Greece and across Europe came together in Isparta, Türkiye, for the Erasmus+ youth exchange “Stronger Together.” This meaningful project focused on raising awareness about Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and empowering young people to take action through knowledge, solidarity, and advocacy.
Through engaging workshops, open discussions, and team-building activities, participants deepened their understanding of SMA and explored how youth-led initiatives can combat misinformation, foster inclusion, and inspire healthier, more empathetic communities.
The project offered a space for reflection, connection, and learning—where youth became changemakers by sharing stories, amplifying awareness, and standing up for those affected by rare diseases.
Participant Reflections
Zeta shared:
“The project in Isparta was very interesting and informative. We did research about what is SMA disease and gained vital knowledge about it. We also had many cool activities inside and outside of the city. For example, we visited a beautiful lake, archeological sites, and even an old cave! I got to meet people from different cultures with whom I shared plenty of mmemorable experiences. If I had the opportunity, I would definitely repeat it!”
Ioannis reflected:
“This experience was very interesting, useful as well as fun!”
Through every activity, meal shared, and moment of exchange, participants truly became stronger together—bringing back not only knowledge, but also powerful memories and bonds that transcend borders.
