26.08–02.09.2024 – Training Course

From the 26th of August to the 2nd of September 2024, youth workers from across Europe gathered in Buzău, Romania, for a unique training course: “Step by Step, Little by Little.” Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, this experience offered participants the opportunity to grow as facilitators, explore innovative tools in non-formal education, and strengthen their competences for future youth projects.

Objectives

– Increasing youth workers’ key competences and their potential of involving in projects as trainers and facilitators.

– Provide to youth workers a set of non-formal education tools according to Erasmus+ new priorities.

– Expanding European cooperation between youth associations from small communities for implementation of future common projects.

The Experience

Over the course of eight days, participants were immersed in a well-structured programme full of engaging activities. They explored practical tools and methods for youth work, exchanged ideas, and built strong intercultural bonds. The sessions encouraged critical reflection and teamwork, while the vibrant social evenings allowed everyone to share their cultures and enjoy moments of laughter and unity.

Testimonials from the Participants

Thimios:

“Thanks to GoAlive, we had the unique opportunity to delve into the world of Youth Workers through the ‘Step by Step, Little by Little’. It amazed me from the very first day. From the wonderful and carefully prepared organizers to the greatly planned workshops, from the friendly Romanian environment to our culturally rich company, we managed to gain practical experience and a new personal perspective on working with youth.”

Zeta:

“It was about people and getting to know their cultures and their points of view on some subjects. The activities, that were perfectly organised, helped a lot on that goal. You were put on random teams and had to cooperate and communicate with participants that you didn’t have the opportunity to yet. The subject itself was the perfect introduction to my Erasmus Plus journey, since it helped me understand the main characteristics and key competences of a youth worker, which were the goals what I would have to work on in the future.”

What Made It Special?

This project stood out for its thoughtful planning, engaging content, and meaningful human connections. Participants left with not only a stronger set of skills but also lasting friendships and renewed motivation to lead youth initiatives in their communities.
