“Participation of Values” – Lublin, Poland

“EduEsc – Escape Games for Education”, Vihi & Tallinn, Estonia
May 20, 2025

From 18th to 24th May 2025, a new chapter of intercultural learning unfolded in the city of Lublin, Poland, where young participants from across Europe, including Greece, Malta, Lithuania, Spain, and Poland, gathered for the Erasmus+ training course Participation of Values. This inspiring Training Course, co-funded by the European Union, aimed to deepen the understanding of democratic participation, values, and citizenship through a dynamic non-formal educational framework.

The Experience

Throughout the project, participants explored the power of values-based education by engaging in interactive sessions, reflective discussions, and collaborative group activities. They:

– Compared personal and cultural values through dialogue

– Examined the principles of active citizenship in a European context

– Participated in workshops fostering empathy, teamwork, and civic responsibility

The programme created a space for young people to challenge assumptions, expand their horizons, and build meaningful bonds. Whether during structured learning moments or spontaneous cultural exchanges, participants found themselves immersed in a journey of growth and discovery.

Testimonials from the Participants

Efraima shared:

“Taking part in the Erasmus training in Lublin on Participation of Values was an incredible opportunity to connect with young people from Greece, Malta, Lithuania, Poland, and Spain. This experience showed me how Erasmus helps us appreciate different cultures and values, fostering cooperation and active citizenship across Europe. It highlighted the importance of working together despite our differences. I highly recommend this project to anyone wanting to broaden their horizons and make meaningful connections.”

Konstantinos reflected:

“During the project I learnt how to communicate with people from different backgrounds, cultures and mindsets. It was really special for me because it made me think out of the box. I recommend this project because it helps young people understand themselves and the world around them. It’s a great opportunity to leave behind outdated perspectives and learn to love people.”

Learning Through Connection

Beyond the sessions, the experience in Lublin was enriched by vibrant local culture and warm shared moments. From team dinners to cultural exchanges and discovering the historical charm of the city, the learning extended far beyond the walls of the workshop room.

Thanks to the dedicated team and the energy of the participants, the training succeeded not only in spreading knowledge but also in nurturing deep interpersonal connections, mutual understanding, and an eagerness to bring positive change back to each participant’s community.

Thank you to all the partners, trainers, and participants who made this experience so impactful.
