About the Project

As 2024 came to a close, GO Alive wrapped up the year with one of its most meaningful Erasmus+ youth exchanges: “Health is Wealth: It’s Time to Take Action”, held in the vibrant city of Berlin, Germany.

Over the course of 10 days, six young participants from Greece joined peers from across Europe to explore the connection between mental and physical health. The programme focused on practical ways to improve personal wellbeing, develop awareness, and take action in daily life.

Topics included:

– Mindfulness and emotional balance

– Biohacking and healthy habits

– Nutrition, self-care and resilience

– Communication and empathy

– Intercultural exchange and peer learning

The setting; close to a peaceful lake surrounded by nature provided the perfect environment for reflection, growth, and authentic connection.

Non-formal Learning in Action

Participants took part in a wide variety of activities such as:

– Interactive workshops on mental health and wellbeing

– Group reflections and journaling

– Public speaking and creative presentations

– Outdoor sessions in nature

– Daily cultural nights with food, music and storytelling

Every moment was designed to support growth, inclusion and awareness while building meaningful friendships and trust.

What Participants Shared

Dialekti:

“Participating in the youth exchange ‘Health is Wealth – It’s time to take action’ was a once in a lifetime experience. I had the chance to meet new people and make friends, explore the city and other cultures and learn more about our mental health and bio-hacking. I am looking forward to participating in more Erasmus+ programs and having such wonderful opportunities in my life.”

Christina:

“The Erasmus program was an unforgettable experience that gave us the opportunity to explore new cultures, collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds, and acquire essential skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. We learned a lot, broadened our horizons, and created memories and friendships that will stay with us forever.”

Manos:

“This youth exchange was a very pleasant journey of self discovery about mental and body health. It was facilitated by an amazing team really passionate about their topic and took place in a great location that helped us integrate a lot of activities and challenges about our daily health habits. It was a transformative and cultural experience and provided me with a lot of great techniques for managing mental health but also understanding and supporting my peers. This project deepened my sense of belonging in the European Union and motivated me to participate again in non-formal Erasmus+ actions in the future.”

Apostolos:

“During this Erasmus+ youth exchange, I discovered new cultures, learned about mental well-being practices, made lifelong friends, and gained valuable skills. It was a life-changing and extraordinary journey that deepened my understanding of myself and the importance of mental health. I also embraced mindfulness techniques and shared experiences that taught us how to support each other through challenges.”

Dimitris:

“This exchange was very nice because I got the opportunity to experience different cultures from all across Europe, met new people and gained new experiences. The theme of the program was interesting and the activities were fun to participate in, as well as the location near the lake and the nature was very nice. It was a lifetime experience.”

Athanasia:

“This exchange was a unique experience. Through our week we had the opportunity to communicate with each other, work with the same aim and make memories we will carry forever. We also came in touch with different cultures and learnt to respect each one. The topic was great and the facilitating team was very well informed. The program was located in a nice place by the lake, into nature. This was an experience I will definitely keep sharing and never forget.”

Youthpass Ceremony & Farewell

The project ended with a heartfelt Youthpass certificate ceremony, where participants celebrated their progress, their learning, and the friendships formed throughout the experience. Everyone left Berlin with renewed energy and a deeper connection to their own health and community.
