What is ESC Individual Volunteering?

ESC Individual Volunteering allows young people to volunteer abroad or in their own country on meaningful projects. Participants gain valuable experience, develop new skills, and contribute to communities across Europe.

• Open to young people aged 18–30
• Focus on social, environmental, and educational projects
• Opportunity to work independently and immerse in a new culture
• Can last between 2 weeks and 12 months
• Is full-time (between 30 and 38 hours a week)
• You volunteer solo, but in many cases, there will also be other volunteers
• Usually abroad, but it can also be in your home country
• Provides funding, training, and recognition
