Training Course Greencomp For Youth Workers

Ο Erasmus+ project Training Course titled “Greencomp For Youth Workers” was conducted from September 14th to 21nd, 2023, in the  town of Eani, Kozani, Greece.

Day 1:

Participants met as a team for the first time, starting with fun icebreaker games to get to know each other. They shared personal information and participated in a “Mission Possible” team-building activity, which emphasized cooperation despite not completing the tasks on time. The morning continued with task assignments and a presentation of the upcoming program.

After lunch, they enjoyed leisure activities, followed by a name recall game and a hidden treasure hunt. The day concluded with participants sharing their interests, goals, and a group reflection on the day’s experiences.

Day 2:

The day began with an energizer session, followed by a workshop on Mindful Communication, focusing on active listening and empathy. In the afternoon, participants visited the archaeological museum of Aiani and then worked on an introduction to the “GreenComp” project, which promotes sustainability. They also learned about giving constructive feedback. The evening featured sports activities and a local walk.

Day 3:

The morning started with a feedback recap and a sustainability discussion, where participants shared their thoughts on improving the planet. They played a name game and engaged in discussions on sustainability, followed by a presentation. In the afternoon, they explored the holistic approach to sustainability, discussed the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, and designed an ideal sustainable country. The day ended with a reflection and feedback session.

Day 4  :

The day started with guided meditation and an energizer game called “Ninja.” Participants debated sustainability topics, repurposed milk cartons into wallets, and participated in Olympic-style group games. After lunch, they explored the Japanese concept of Ikigai, reflecting on their passions, talents, and the world’s needs. The evening included celebrating a participant’s birthday and enjoying a Greek evening with folk songs and dances.

The final day :

The final day was emotional, with participants writing heartfelt letters to each other and emails to their future selves, reflecting on their experiences. They spent the afternoon on a day trip to Kozani, visiting a library, a park, and going on a hiking adventure. The day ended with a farewell dinner, celebrating the end of the project and the friendships formed.
