Buzău, Romania | 20–30/03/2025
In March 2025, GO Alive had the opportunity to take part in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “Don’t Gamble Your Future” in Buzău, Romania. This project gathered young participants from across Europe to explore the sensitive and vital topic of addiction prevention and healthy lifestyle choices through non-formal education methods.
During the programme, participants engaged in a variety of workshops, interactive discussions, and creative activities. Together, they explored:
– The impact of addictions on individuals and communities
– How to develop healthy alternatives and habits
– The power of dialogue, peer support, and creativity
The exchange created a safe space for young people to reflect, express themselves, and build meaningful international friendships.
Christina shared:
“My experience with this Erasmus program was perfect! During the program, I expanded my knowledge of different cultures while simultaneously developing important skills such as international communication, teamwork, practicing the English language, and time management. This experience was unique for me due to the opportunity to live and collaborate for some time with young people from other countries, which allowed me to discover both similarities and differences we had. I would definitely recommend the program to others because it is a unique opportunity to develop their skills and get to know new cultures while making new friends. Finally, this experience made me realize how important it is to share emotions and experiences with others. Sharing what you feel and learn helps you grow as a person.”

Beyond the workshops, the group bonded over intercultural evenings, local experiences, and shared reflections. The experience not only helped raise awareness on a crucial topic, but also left participants empowered, educated, and deeply inspired.
