Capranica Scalo, Italy | 23.09 – 29.09.2024
At the end of September 2024, GO Alive took part in the vibrant Erasmus+ training course “Dive In”, hosted in the serene setting of Capranica Scalo, Italy. This project offered a unique opportunity for young adults from across Europe to explore immersive theatre, personal expression, and inclusive education.
During the week-long training, participants engaged in a powerful blend of theatre, movement, and storytelling workshops that aimed to unlock creative self-expression and emotional connection. Activities ranged from improvisation sessions and “milonga” (sound-based interaction) to reflective group circles and thematic performances. Nestled in the beautiful Italian countryside, the setting fostered peace, introspection, and strong bonds among participants.
The project’s holistic design not only helped participants tap into their creative potential but also opened dialogues on social topics like inclusion and discrimination. The facilitators led with great passion and created a space that felt safe, encouraging, and inspiring for all.

“Dive in was an amazing experience for me. We had the opportunity to exchange ideas, cultures and knowledge. Immersive theater brought out different aspects of ourselves and within the magical place we lived, we shared emotions and stories, creating an inspiring connection between us.”

“We spent a week in the Italian countryside, at an amazing place in nature and embarked on an immersive theatre and education journey! From getting in touch with our body and mind to immersive activities, improvisation, theatre and experiencing the ‘milonga’ for the first time. We met amazing people, learned a lot about immersive experiences and how we can use them to talk about important issues such as discrimination. I left the training very inspired and ready to put into practice what I have learned. The facilitation team made the week even better with their energy and passion!”

Through “Dive In”, participants didn’t just discover new methods they discovered new sides of themselves. The week planted seeds of empathy, courage, and confidence that will keep growing long after the final performance.
