From June 28th to July 6th, 2025, youth professionals from across Europe gathered in the serene village of Hollókő, Hungary for the Erasmus+ training course “Disconnect to Connect”, organized by @re_creativity.
This project brought together participants from Belgium, Spain, Greece, Lithuania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Hungary. The goal was to create a space for reflection, connection, and growth — both personally and professionally. Through immersive non-formal learning, participants explored how to foster mental wellbeing in themselves and the young people they work with.
The training introduced a wide variety of offline tools designed to improve focus, emotional resilience, and interpersonal communication. From group activities to solo reflection moments, the experience reminded us of the importance of pausing, unplugging, and being fully present in our relationships and our work.
Maria: “The place was fantastic, in the middle of nature and I really enjoyed the natural landscape. The trainers were experienced and willing to explain everything we wanted. I learned a lot about myself and came into contact with wonderful new people. I would recommend this prgoram to everyone because it is an opportunity to learn and share. This trip will be unforgettable for me.”
Angelik: “Disconnect to Connect was thought-provoking touching project that helpe me dig deeper into myself and meet other sieds of me. During this experience we were exposed to meditation practices, mindfulness and spiritual teachings that made us go through a personal inner journey of confronting our own fears and shadow. Alongside that, we were located in this picturesque village in Hungary, nestled in nature, surrounded by traditional Unesco-protected coquettish little houses still standing in the area - a truly hidden gem in nature. We were a group of people from across Europe, all willing to share our own stories, truths and exchange bits and pieces of our cultures and lives. It turns out that the project truly lives up to its name. This project will really stay with me, like a transformative experience that I will always carry.”
🧠 A big thank you to everyone involved in this beautiful initiative co-funded by the European Union. The journey continues — stay tuned for more training opportunities!
