As part of the “GREEN out of the BOX” project, we propose the creation of a school garden. At the beginning, students identify and record the existing vegetation and suggest areas for a flower and vegetable garden. The students are divided into three groups and are responsible for: ̧ Group A: maintenance and shaping of existing vegetation Group B: the creation of a vegetable garden Group C: creating a flower garden Each larger group develops a work plan, identifies problems and proposes solutions. Groups A, B, C inform each other, coordinate their actions and plan their work.
What the teams should look out for: Group A: maintain – preserve perennials Group B: in the vegetable garden they will plant summer vegetables, i.e. vegetables that are planted in spring, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, pumpkins, peppers Group C: in the flower garden they can plant Mediterranean plants, such as oregano, mint, lavender, thyme. They will use a variety of plants so that there is flowering all year round and the aesthetic aspect of the garden function is covered.
